I am a computational geneticist with research expertise in telomere biology, molecular diagnostics, and machine-learning–based clinical modelling. My work integrates wet-lab experimentation (PCR/qPCR, DNA/RNA extraction, microscopy, cell culture) with computational pipelines (R, Python, HTS workflows, predictive modelling).
I am deeply interested in the intersection of computational drug design, neurogenetics, and translational therapeutics, and my long-term goal is to join an R&D environment focused on developing next-generation therapies.
Currently, I am applying for PhD positions in computational biology, neuroscience, and drug discovery across Europe.

Outstanding Researcher Award For MSc Thesis Defense

"During my theoretical courses, she demonstrated outstanding intellectual ability and motivation well beyond her academic level. What sets Elin apart is not only her diligence but also her scientific maturity and problem-solving mindset.
During the research phase, Her analytical maturity, rapid ability to acquire new methodologies, and strong problem-solving mindset position her to make meaningful and high-impact contributions to any research environment she joins."
-Dr. Golnaz Khakpour, MD, PhD, Rasoul Akram Hospital, Eye Research Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences
"Ms. Mehrasa was one of the most outstanding students in our program. As her external examiner, I was deeply impressed by the scientific rigor of her work. She successfully achieved all her experimental goals and even incorporated advanced statistical and machine learning
analyses beyond the original scope. Her final defense reflected exceptional clarity, critical thinking, and originality, earning the highest grade awarded by the committee."
